So he would kick and quickly be completely unraveled and the weighted part would end up skewed to the side or completely off of him and became more of a frustration to have to keep re-wrapping him multiple times through the night. I attribute this to the fact there is no Velcro holding the main sack to the wrap pieces (if that description makes sense).

I wanted to love this wrap and conceptually it makes sense, but my son is two months old and is very active and every time I have used the swaddle, no matter how tightly I tried to wrap him, he kicked his way out of it. Just last night, 9/10, he slept from 7:30 pm to 4:30 am! I couldn't believe it! I am glad I stuck with this product and gave it a thorough test run. Within 5-10 minutes, he got himself off to sleep! He is 10 weeks old, and I call that a win in my book! I will be purchasing more sleep sacks in the months to come, and am a firm believer that these products, along with the right feeding/napping during the day and bedtime routine, have helped my son get the sleep he needs. More recently, in the past 2 weeks, I nursed him, rocked him, then put him down semi-awake or almost completely awake. Since receiving both of the Nested Bean products, my son has been getting himself off to sleep. The first few nights, like any 5 week old, he was up every 2-3 hours. He was wearing for about 3.5 weeks the swaddle, with arms out. He is wearing the Small Zen Sack in this picture, as of two weeks ago. This is Brayden! He was born 6/22/18 (1 day early, his due date 6/23).

We are hopeful that the sleep sack will make it worth our investment. I observed him as his startle reflex would occur, and he settled easily back to sleep each time. Yesterday was our first attempt, and he slept soundly for one hour in the crib and was easy to put down which isn't usually the case. Little one is 11 weeks and we are still trying to transition from the Rock n Play to crib we're starting to use the sleep sack for this with naps. Because of this, I would not recommend the swaddle. We swaddled and re-swaddled multiple times during one night of use. Unfortunately the material stretched too easily when our little one would move his arms, resulting in a loose flap that would get pulled over his face.

We hoped that the swaddle would provide a similar feel for him while also offering more security through the weights for transitioning from a Rock n Play to a crib. We were quite used to swaddling snugly as our little one has slept in Halo Sacks since he was a newborn. The swaddle did not work for us as we hoped.
